He is survived by: his wife Janet Batten Tyson; his children, Paris Hardin, Megan Tyson, Mario McMillian, Devante Tyson and Steadman Tyson; his stepchildren, Tammy Mashburn, Michelle Berry (Scott) and Michael Embry; and his siblings, Mary, Joanne, Barbara, Butch, Heavy and Larry. He is also survived by grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
