It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Buddy Daniel Simmons (Thomasville, North Carolina), who passed away on August 11, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Simmons and Goldie Bessant Simmons; his son Ryan Simmons; and his siblings, Boo, Ninner, Ring Eye, Hal, Hoppy, Paul, Baby, Billy Joe and Princess Anne Tigner.

He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Johnson (Josh) of Thomasville, Nikki Owens (Brian) of Thomasville and Daniel Simmons (Courtney) of Thomasville; his grandchildren, Mason Griffin (Meghan), Aamon Burchett, Reagan Burchett, Brooklyn Simmons, Levi Owens, Logan Owens, Braxton Simmons and Liam Wall; his great grandchildren, Lucas and Lawson Griffin; his sisters, Betty Jean Fowler (Ed) and Sis Roberts; and his sisters-in-law, Armett Simmons and Kathy Hall.
