He is survived by: his children, Darren Smith (Anne) of Wallburg and Tara Deschenes (Paul) of Charlotte; his siblings, Lester Smith (Sylvia) of Thomasville and Mary Ellen Thomas (Jerry) of Thomasville; his grandchildren, Dylan Smith (Carly) of High Point, Amber Hobbs (Connor) of Charleston, Megan Deschenes of Charlotte and Connor Smith (Destiny) of Wallburg; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn Hobbs and Sam Smith.
