With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bobby Lee Payne of Thomasville, North Carolina, born in Andrews, North Carolina, who passed away on June 5, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Johnny William Payne, Sr.; his son Bobby Dion Payne; his siblings, Lillian King, Ernest Payne, Bruce "Joe" Payne and Johnny William Payne, Jr.; and his former wife Juanita Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gilmore Payne; his children, April Hensley (Ronald) of Lexington, Lori Freedle of Lexington and Dale Steed (Laura) of Florida; his stepdaughters, Belinda Mills of Thomasville and Cindy Payne of Thomasville; his sisters, Ruby Payne Hedrick of Fletcher, NC and Lois Payne Jones of Thomasville; his daughter-in-law Peggy Davis of Lexington; and his grandchildren, Danzi, Johnny, Racelynn, James, Will, Tina, Michael, Amanda, Jennifer, Tabitha and Jessie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
