He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Archie Byerly and Lois James Byerly. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Cathcart Byerly; his children, Michael Byerly (Tara) of California and Sonya Morgan (Joe) of California; his siblings, Glenn Byerly (Fern) of Greensboro, Sandy Byerly (Clara) of South Carolina and Marie Brande of Stokesdale; and his grandchildren, Michael Byerly, E. J. Byerly, Daniel Keith, Joseph Keith and Samantha Keltner.
