She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius J. Floyd and Mary Elizabeth Bumgarner Floyd; her brothers, James Ernest "Buck" Floyd and Donald Wesley Floyd; her uncles, Presley Parker Floyd and Ernest Floyd; and her grandson Nathan Eugene Carter.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Eugene Carter; her children, Gerald Carter (Connie) of Badin Lake, Thomas J. Carter (Dawn) of Thomasville, Deborah Ann Carter of Thomasville, Lisa Carter Smith (Mark) of Lexington and Jeanette Carter Mills (Doug) of Lexington; and her brother Larry Floyd (Joyce).
