He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Tomlinson Swaim, Sr. and Maxine Evelyn Kennedy Swaim. He is survived by: his children, Caroline Swaim Hill (Mark) of Thomasville, Christy Swaim Barker (Sam) of Thomasville and John Everett Swaim of Thomasville; his sister Patricia "Pat" Ann Baker of Wilmington; and his grandchildren, Austin Jackson Hill (Rachel), Emily Caroline Hill (Jacob Hitch), Abbey Josephine Parrish and Norah Allison Parrish. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jc Green and Sons Chapel (122 W Main St, Thomasville, NC 27360). A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Fair Grove Church (138 Fairgrove Church Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360).
