It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aubrey Eugene Wells (Thomasville, North Carolina), who passed away on April 5, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Daniel Wells, Sr. and Bessie Lee Faircloth Wells; his wife Betty Lou Connell Wells; his siblings, Lorene Clodfelter, Kat Jackson, Jackie Whitaker, Thomas Wells Jr. and Edgar Wells; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Sechrest Wells, Bonnie Wells, Bill Clodfelter, Buddy Whitaker and Jerry Stone.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Michael Eugene Wells (Dianne) of Surf City, NC, Teresa Gail Wells Leake (David) of Sneeds Ferry, NC and Lori Anne Wells (Jerry Hodges) of Vilas, NC; his grandchildren, Kristopher Heath Leake (Megan) of Florida and Amanda Jene Leake of Nevada; his sisters, Betty Carolyn Stone of Thomasville, NC and Sandy Moore (Ralph) of Asheboro, NC; and his brother-in-law George Jackson of Thomasville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
