He is survived by: his children, Willie Avery Bennerman of Wilmington and Emily Moore Anthony of North Carolina; his stepchildren, Kenneth L. Scarbrough (Jeanette) of Teachey, NC, Ricky L. Scarbrough (Keisha) of Magnolia, NC and Claudia J. Newkirk (Elton) of Chinquapin, NC; his aunt Doris Bennerman; his uncle Rooty Raisin of New York One; his niece Yvonne M. Bell of Florida One; and his nephew Travis McNair of Indiana.
