The memory of Virginia Cottle of Teachey, North Carolina, who passed away on August 29, 2024 at the age of 101, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Brown and Bethie Pickett Brown; her husband Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Cottle; her siblings, Sallie Lou Strickland, Garland Brown, Norman Brown, Mamie Kennedy, Dorothy Duncan, Hubert Brown, Dee Brown and Mary Frances Brock; and her son-in-law Tim Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Mack Cottle of Teachey and Janice Cottle Williams of Teachey; her grandchildren, Rob Cottle, Alix Cottle (Tim), Blake Cottle (Jennifer) and Tammy Corbett (Chris); her great grandchildren, Mason Cottle, Hayden Cottle, Jacob Byrd, Lauren Byrd, Kayla Cottle, Leslie Cavenaugh (Joshua) and Emily Corbett; her great great grandchildren, Izabella Cavenaugh, Kolton Zurcher and Summit Zurcher; her brother Richard E. Brown of Hallsville; and her sister-in-law Lessie Brown of Beulaville. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Teachey Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 1st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
