It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Evans of Teachey, North Carolina, who passed away on February 25, 2021, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Cathy Baker Brown of Teachey, NC.. He is survived by: his significant other Leann Blanton Evans; his children, Joshua and Megan Evans; his father Horace Evans (Ann); his brother Jeff Evans; his stepfather Jimmy Brown (Pops); his stepsiblings, Everett Brown (Michelle) and Cindy Dixon (Eric); his grandmother Inez Baker; and his friends, Jon Gurganus and Russell Teachey. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
