He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Lee and Juanita Walker Whaley of Teachey, NC.; and his siblings, Patsy Harrell, Richard Lee Whaley and Norman Dean Whaley.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Hanchey Whaley; his children, David Glenn Whaley, Jr. and Julie W. Therkelsen (Dave); his grandchildren, David G. Whaley III, Megan and Allison Kate Whaley; his sister-in-law Marsha F. Whaley; and his close friend Zaxby. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
