It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Vance Baker of Taylorsville, North Carolina, born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on March 10, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Ervin Baker and Mary Davidson Baker; his former wife Bobbie Baker; his wife Helen Baker; and his siblings, Moselle Stafford and Dayton Baker.
He is survived by: his daughter Jeanette Gail Greene; his stepson Randy Ervin (Sherry); his grandchildren, Bryan Greene and Samantha Pope (Travis); his great grandchildren, Scarlett, Travis, Jeremiah and Wesley; and his siblings, Jeanette Huffman, Betty Spencer, Kay Hefner, Shirley Page, Ann Winebarger, Sue Lackey, Bobbie Pennell (Johnny) and Roger Baker (Judy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, great-great-nieces, nephews, great-great-great-niece and nephews.
