He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Hampton and Bernice Inez Carrigan Southard; and his siblings, Patricia Ann Southard, Mary Lou Scott, Richard Southard and Ricky Southard.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Barnette Southard; his children, Sherry Southard Fritz (Greg) and Phillip Southard (Jessica); and his grandchildren, Dustin Roache, Daniel Roache, Austin Thomas (Kaelyn), Aidan Pope, Ethan Fritz, Matthew Deal of Phillip, Darienne Cox, Kayla Southard, Victoria Severt and Cita Severt. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.
