It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Sipe (Taylorsville, North Carolina), who passed away on April 26, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Oxentine and Jenny Jones Oxentine. She is survived by: her husband Robert Sipe; her children, Sonia Laxton (David) of Raleigh and Jarrod Sipe of Palm Springs, CA; her grandchildren, Ashley Reynolds (Blake) of Hickory and Matthew Laxton of Raleigh; her great grandchildren, Ashlynn Fincher and Presley Reynolds of Hickory; and her siblings, Mary Sue Speaks of Wilkes County, James Oxentine of Taylorsville, Gordon Oxentine (Judy) of Taylorsville and Roger Oxentine (Brenda) of Wilkes County.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Michael J. Fox Foundation for the cure for Parkinson's Disease or The Adult Sunday School Class at St. Luke Lutheran Church to help people in need.
