She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Fox and Ruby Little Fox; and her brother-in-law Maurice Barnes. She is survived by: her son Patrick "Pete" Gilleland (Harriet); her grandchild Carson Gilleland Johnson (Will); her sister Kathie Barnes; her nephew Derrick Barnes (Kisha); her niece Kendra Fox (Edward); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Zoe, Heidi Fox, Addison and Jenner Barnes.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Alexander Funeral Service (193 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
