He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Helton and Esther Bolick Helton; and his brothers, Charles Ray Helton and Paul Helton. He is survived by: his wife Betty Helton; his children, Gregory Helton (Lonna), Beverly Sharpe (Mark) and Dinah Clonch (Bruce); and his siblings, Phyllis Killian (Jim), Dwight Helton and Lynn Helton. He is also survived by his twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (580 Antioch Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery (580 Antioch Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
