With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Dyson (Taylorsville, North Carolina), who passed away on January 7, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Otto and Martha Emma Dyson; and his siblings, Camilla Rogers, Omelia Bowman, Wilma Lee Martin, Betty Keever, Naomi Butler, Jean Payne, Flake, Dewey, Reggie, Clyde, Owen and Denny Dyson.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Faye Bowman Dyson; his children, Tammy Sheir (Bob) of Severna Park, Darlene Inman (Mike) of Taylorsville, Lorie Watts (Johnny) of Taylorsville and Ty Roger Dyson of Hickory; his grandchildren, Barbara, Jeb Inman (Heather), David Sheir, Adam Sheir (Mary), Noah Sheir, Linsey Stuckey (Josh), Abbey Rowe (Matt) and Chelsea Huffman (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Claire, Cora Stuckey, Raelyn, Hallie Rowe, Liam, Luke Inman and James Sheir; and his brother-in-law Devon Bowman of Bethlehem. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family has requested that memorials may be given to (Carolina Caring) Hospice of Catawba County @ 3975 Robinson Rd. Newton, North Carolina 28658 and to the Alzheimer's Association @ 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
