He is survived by: his wife Amanda Lackey Simpson; his children, Emily Simpson (Will McCurry), Hillary Montieth (Josh), Rebekah Peterson (Sawyer) and Jeremy Simpson (Peyton Moore); his sister-in-law Melissa Deal (Wes); his nephews, Alex, Aaron Deal, Nicholas Simpson (Morgan) and Ethan Deal; and his grandchildren, Lawson, Maddox Montieth, Aubrey, Adley, Lainey and Meritt Peterson.
