He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Adams and Mavis Blankenship Adams; his siblings, Olin Adams and Ethel Adams Moore; and his stepson Rick Pennell.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Pennell Adams; his daughter Berenda Adams Samples (Ken) of Taylorsville; the mother of his child Montez Chapman Adams; his granddaughter Stacy Marie Samples of Boomer, NC; his sister Thelma Aleese Canter of Taylorsville; and his stepsons, Mike, Craig and Jerry Pennell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
