It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Vance Higgins of Taylorsville, North Carolina, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Israelson Higgins and Judson C. Higgins; and his brothers, Larry Higgins and Kent Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Jan Higgins; his children, David V. Higgins (Lisa) of Hickory, NC, Daniel J. Higgins (Janet) of Gastonia, NC and Dawn M. Higgins of Nicholasville, KY; his brother Keith Higgins (Edith) of Minneapolis, MN; his grandchildren, Heather Higgins Krajicek, Haley Higgins Austin, Hannah Higgins, Eric Lowe and Trevor Abell; and his great grandchild Reagan Marie Krajicek. He is also survived by three nieces and six nephews.
