He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Franklin Stephens and Claudia Estell Stephens; his wife Shirley Ann Stevens; his son Gary Duane Stevens; and his siblings, Bernice Wilson, Naomi Shumate, Geneva Powell and Ralph Eckard.
He is survived by: his children, Jeanine Rochelle Wilkerson (Bobby) of Taylorsville and Dennis Keith Stevens (Samantha) of Colorado; his grandchildren, Sandra, Tracy, Brittany, Jessica, Michael, Alyssa, Kylee and Macey; and his great grandchildren, Lillian and Evelyn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
