With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rex Gene Haas (Taylorsville, North Carolina), who passed away on September 7, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gener Haas and Edith Tolbert Haas; his former wife Patsy Pennell Haas; his siblings, Tony Lee Haas and Nancy; his brothers-in-law, O. C. Bumgarner and Rev. Ken Pritchard; and his stepdaughter Cathy Mecimore.
He is survived by: his wife Ada Warren Haas; his son Steven Haas (Amy Raymon) of Houston, TX; his grandson Paden Haas (Amanda); his great grandchild Leah of Hampton, VA; his siblings, Avery Haas (Brigitte) of Ocean Springs, MS, Lillian Pritchard of Fayetteville, NC and Earlene Winebarger (Larry) of Lenoir, NC; his sister-in-law Sandra Haas of Hays, NC; his stepdaughter Sheila Miller (David) of Fleetwood, NC; and his stepson-in-law Larry Mecimore of Taylorsville, NC. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
