It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nellie Jo Houston Teague (Taylorsville, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Houston and Lille Stafford Houston; her husband Grae Dean "Poss" Teague; her sisters, Patsy Pennington, Emma Alice "Sis" Bowman and Johnsie Earlene Houston; her granddaughter Cheryl Chase; her son-in-law Timothy Windsor; and her siblings, James Eugene Houston, Tommy Houston, Floyd Houston and Katherine Teague.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Teague (Trish), Allen Teague (Jackie) and Amy Farrens (Robert); her grandchildren, Gary (Amanda), Cody (Jessica), Amber, Ethan (Kelsey) and Katelyn (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Timmy (Tiffany), Ciera, Marcus, Kalill, Weston, Easton, Maverick, Tate, Brooks, Jada and Grayson; and her great great grandchildren, Rylee, Liam, Aubree, Toran, Isaiah and Zyana.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (580 Antioch Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
