He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lynn Hilton, Jerry Truitt and Frances Truitt; his great-grandparents, Mable Ramsey, Mitchell and Voncille Hilton; and his pet Korra Truitt.
He is survived by: his wife Ashley Truitt; his mother Stacy Pierce; his stepfather Rob Pierce; his father Tom Truitt; his stepmother Cara Truitt; his grandfather Ted Hilton; his brother Alex Truitt (Courtney); his stepsiblings, William LaFon (Tayler) and Kiersti LaFon; and his parents-in-law, Philip and Kimberly Price. He is also survived by one niece and three nephews, and many aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601). Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home - Jack Bass Memorial Building (334 2nd St NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
