She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Pierce and Viola Elizabeth Pierce; her husband Floyd Dennis Pennell; her sons, Dennis Earl Pennell and David Thomas Pennell; and her grandson Micheal Andrew Maye.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Pennell Maye (Kenny) and Shirley Pennell Clayborn (Randy); her daughter-in-law Sylvia Pennell (Dennis); and her grandchildren, Mark, Jamie Pennell, Denise Johnson, Melissa Mays, Tabitha Duthie and Wesley Isom. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
