He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl Matheson and Carolyn Brinkley Matheson; his wife Karen Dagenhart Matheson; his children, Nicole Simerly (Jamie), Brad Mundy (Elizabeth) and Phil Mundy; his grandchildren, Caleb Simerly (Kacey), Hannah Simerly, Sarah Greene (Caleb), Zachary Mundy, Ella Mundy and Axel Mundy; his great grandchild Jaxon Greene; his brother Rickey; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Hammer and Donald Mitchell.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel (307 Main Ave Dr, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
