He is survived by: his wife Tanya Smith Roberts; and his children, Michael Burton Roberts (Alisha) of Taylorsville, Jimmy Roberts of Texas and Rebecca Flow of Neosho, MO..

A reception was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658).
