With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Max Bentley of Taylorsville, North Carolina, born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on April 12, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Bentley and Ocie Kerley Bentley; his siblings, Betty Looper (James) and Ned Bentley (Peggy); his grandson Jordy Bentley; and his great grandchildren, Adeline, Miles Rogers and Samuel Walker.

He is survived by: his wife Joann Tevepaugh Bentley; his children, Anita Walker (Tommy), Robin Rogers (Darrin), Kathy Mundy and Phil Bentley of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Corey Bentley (April), Toby Bentley, Daniel Walker (Meredith), Adam Walker (Elizabeth), Micheal Rogers (Carrie), Michelle Safriet (Jonathan), Sarah Greene (Caleb) and Zachary Mundy; and his siblings, Lyda Reese (George) and Clenith Bentley (Wilma). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
