Mary Shafer Rogers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 17, 2022, at the age of 88, Mary Shafer Rogers (Taylorsville, North Carolina), born in Elkview, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Pharaoh Shafer; her husband Lee Rogers; her siblings, William, Eugene, Lorene, Doris and Betty; and her daughter-in-law Robin Rogers.
She is survived by: her sons, Lenny Rogers (Elena) of Taylorsville and George Rogers (Judy) of Hickory; her grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah, Ben, Jarrod, Lily and Levi Rogers; her brother-in-law Earl Rogers (Dakota); and her caregivers, Milledean Miller, Libby White, Carmen Brookshire and Gina Davis. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in addition to flowers that memorials be made to Mary's granddaughter Rachel Rogers who is a missionary in Costa Rica or to Alexander Hospice, 50 Lucy Echerd Lane, Taylorsville, NC 28681. Donations for Rachel can be sent to, Til.
