We are sad to announce that on April 21, 2023, at the age of 99, Marlow Basil Mitchell of Taylorsville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arrie Mitchell and Melar Fox Mitchell; his former wife Sybil Dyson Mitchell; his son Jerry Mitchell; and his siblings, Tommy Mitchell, Sybil Mitchell Fox, Thurlow and Perry Lee Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Bowman Mitchell; his children, Kaye Beck (Dale), Barry Mitchell, Diane Mitchell Mohler (Tim) and Teresa Allran (Kevin); his siblings, Margaret Matlock, Jimmy Mitchell (Betty), Lula Bell Harrington, Doris Keever (Lanny), Martha Rogers and Steve Mitchell (Carol); and his daughter-in-law Barbara Pennell Mitchell. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, along with a number of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
