It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorene Austin Richey of Taylorsville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 4, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Challie Austin and Rachel Johnson Austin of Alexander County; and her siblings, Johnsie Dyson and Lavern Austin. She is survived by: her husband Arthur Claude Richey; her daughters, Roxanne Franklin (Brian) and Dianne Green (Rodney); her grandchildren, Zachary Franklin (Traci), Brittany Franklin and Jessie Green Morrison (Josh); her brother Terl Austin; and her nephew Kelly Ritchie.
