She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Ray and Effie Jane Ray; and her siblings, Brenda Whisnant, Billy Ray, Junior "Tub" Ray and Jim Ray.
She is survived by: her husband David Massagee; her children, Alicia Metcalf, Gwyn Richard "Ricky" Metcalf III (Candra) of Marion, NC, Timothy Metcalf (Ashley) of Hickory and Gary Metcalf; her grandchildren, Madisyn, Maverick, Mason, Joshua, LilyAnna and Noah Metcalf; and her brothers, Bob Ray, Mack Ray, Mike Ray, Leroy Ray and Amos Ray.
