He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Stout and Carrie Edwards Stout; his wife Barbara Hale Stout; and his siblings, Helen Stout, Agnes "Gaye" Street, Doris Blankenship and Joe Stout.
He is survived by: his sons, Brad Stout (Natalie) of Taylorsville, Rodney Stout (Shelley) of Virginia and John David Stout (Pamela Jo) of West Virginia; and his sisters, Shirley and Will Stout of Virginia. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
