He was predeceased by: his parents, Allie Clark and Vera Melissa Sharpe Mayberry; and his wife Margie Deane Russell Mayberry. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Carl Childers; his sons, Russell Mayberry of Stony Point and John Mayberry (Sarah) of Taylorsville; his sister Retha Childers of Hiddenite; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Mayberry, Taylor and Rebecca Mayberry (Vivia Cline).
