It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ray McRee of Taylorsville, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on July 30, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Long McRee and Catherine Setzer McRee; his wife Joan Schronce; and his siblings, John, Charles and Mary Evelyn Carpenter Hassler.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Julie Isaacson of Taylorsville; his sister-in-law Marilyn McRee of Conover; and his nieces and nephews, Phillip McRee, Keith McRee, Susan Bumgarner, Mary Catherine Carpenter, Margaret Whitener and Tina McRee.
