He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Hefner Wiles and James Franklin Harding; his wife Myra Walker Harding; his children, James Harding, Jr. of Statesville, Angela Patterson of Greenville, SC and Wesley Harding of Statesville, NC; his stepchildren, Ryan Barlowe (Amanda) of Taylorsville and Tara Barlowe of Hickory; and his sisters, Wanda Ladd (Buddy) of Kernersville, Barbara Herman (Terry) of Taylorsville, Shelby Welborn of Taylorsville and Debbie Killian (Derek) of Hickory. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
