It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jackie Cornette Sr. of Taylorsville, North Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on August 23, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leroy Cornette and Helen Nadine Anderson Cornette; his former wife Rebecca Joan Calhoun Cornette; and his granddaughter Cynthia Danille Ledford. He is survived by: his fiancée Brenda Sue DeVault; his son Jackie Monroe Cornette, Jr. of Ohio; his stepson Paul David Ledford; and his siblings, Janice Cornette Tester (Larry) of Stony Point and Victor Anthony Cornette (Ruthie) of Taylorsville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
