We are sad to announce that on August 18, 2023, at the age of 87, Hilda Bowman of Taylorsville, North Carolina, born in Alexander, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter George McLain and Lois Eva Deal McLain; and her siblings, Luna McLain, Virginia McLain Stafford, Mary Evelyn McLain Bowman, Garnet McLain Smith and George McLain.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel Bowman; her children, Judy Femister (Stanley) of Taylorsville and Sidney Bowman (Lora Rosamond) of Taylorsville; her granddaughter Samantha Bowers (Cody); her great grandchild Cohen Bowers; her sister Sue McLain Cook of Lenoir; and her sister-in-law Linda McLain. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
