She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Childers and Essie Chapman Childers; her husband Rayford "Bud" Mecimore; and her siblings, Lorene Elder, Hazel Teague, Margie Cavin, Betty Hubbard, Marie James, Wilma Chapman, Cecil Herman, Ralph Childers and Fred Turner Walker (Doris Childers).
She is survived by: her son David A. Mecimore (Darlene); her grandchildren, Jamie Smith (James) and Josh Mecimore; and her great grandchildren, Ella Rae Smith and Anderson Smith.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (307 Main Ave Dr, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Little River Baptist Church (2070 Little River Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
