He was predeceased by: his parents, John Raymond Pennell and Ruth Barlowe Pennell; and his sister Ann Wright. He is survived by: his children, Tracy Poarch (Mark) of Hudson, Pamela Greene of Taylorsville and Rodney Blankenship; his grandchildren, Dylan, Bailey and Carly; his great grandchildren, Briggs and Callie; his grandchildren, Sierra, Savanna and Alexander; and his brother Wayne Pennell of Lenoir.
