She was predeceased by: her parents, Clearance Mayhew and Catherine Bochner Mayhew; her husband John Vermillion; and her siblings, Eddie Mayhew, Ruth Stubbs, Marie Hardsty and Phyllis Ann.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Vermillion, David Lee Vermillion (Cindy), Charles Edward Vermillion, Rosie Keyes, Sue Foster and William Joseph Vermillion; her grandchildren, Michael Winters (Amy), David Lee Vermillion Jr. (Brooke), Kayla Hess (Anthony), Ronnie Winters (Tajiah) and Sara Watts (Ethan); her great grandchildren, Bryan, Madalynn, Brayden, Stella, Ariyah, Everlee, Rhylan, Atticus and Shirlee; her close friends, Mary and Ronnie Hall; and her friend Shirley Tate.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sound Doctrine Baptist Church (644 1st St NW, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
