It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Mayhorn Sr. of Taylorsville, North Carolina, born in Red Jacket, West Virginia, who passed away on October 5, 2021, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donnie Mayhorn and Alice Lee Mayhorn; his wife Gretchen Gaye Alverson Mayhorn; his children, Gary Mayhorn, Jr. of Taylorsville and Samantha Carter (Dustin) of Mocksville; and his siblings, Donnie, Jr., Mike, Brian Mayhorn and Linda Christian.
