It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freeda Nicewander Brookman of Taylorsville, North Carolina, born in Bland, Virginia, who passed away on October 25, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Nicewander and Leah Thompson Nicewander; her husband Donald Brookman, Sr.; her daughter Rita Sullivan; and her siblings, Hazel, Rose, Alene, Dolly and Andrew (Buddy).
She is survived by: her children, Don Brookman (Kimberly) of Hickory, Timothy Brookman of Huntington Beach, CA, Tami Holston of Taylorsville and Teresa Coley of Hickory Nine.
