She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Overstreet and Lillian Branscome Overstreet; her husband Darrell Johnathan Sweet; and her siblings, Melvin, John, William Overstreet and Francis Alderman.

She is survived by: her sons, Timothy Sweet of Rockwood, TN and Randy Sweet (Sheila) of Hiddenite, NC; her siblings, James Overstreet of Willis, VA, Marie Hall of Floyd, VA and Ann Holcomb of Dublin, VA; her grandchildren, Sharon Watts (Chris), T. J. Sweet (Ashley), Brandon Sweet (Raney), Darren Sweet (Lauren), Jordan Sweet (Amber) and Ashlyn Sweet; her great grandchildren, Mason, Sophia Watts, Hunter, Sadie Sweet, Isaac, Colt, Vance Sweet, Garrison Sweet, Zoah and Valor Sweet; and her brother-in-law Jerry Sweet (Linda) of Newton, NC..
