He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Oscar and Cleo Bowman Smith Bowman; and his siblings, Devon Smith, Grady Smith, Bobby Smith, David Lee Smith, Shirley Sherrill and Helen Pennell.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Pauline Spears Smith; his children, Donna Clanton (David), Vicki Tart (Sam) and Frank Smith Jr.; his grandchildren, Jessica Pless, Jennifer Bowman, Colby and Evan Tart; and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Jeremiah and Gracie Jean Pless.
