He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Eckard and Marlene Hefner Eckard; and his sister Paula Brannon. He is survived by: his family Pawpaw Eric; his sons, Eric Daniel Eckard (Meggan) of Taylorsville, Steven "Shane" Christopher of Taylorsville and Lance Andrew Eckard (Lauren) of Anderson, SC.; and his siblings, Steve Eckard (Sandy) of Hickory, Richard Eckard (Darlene) of Conover and Patricia Pritchard (Mike) of Newton.
