He was predeceased by: his parent William Lloyd Sweet; and his daughter April Leigh Sweet. He is survived by: his parent Minnie Starnes Sweet; his sons, William Sweet (Cathy) of Lenoir, Terrell Sweet (Kelly) of Lincolnton, Thomas Sweet (Wanda) of Lenoir and Shaun Sweet (Carlene) of Lenoir; his stepson Scott Ballard (Crystal) of Taylorsville; and his brothers, Burley Sweet, James Sweet (Lois) and Charles Sweet (Annie) of Conover.
