With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Wayne Harrington of Taylorsville, North Carolina, born in Alexander, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2024 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Bentley Harrington; his grandparents, Evleyn Mullis, Lola Bentley and Acie Bentley; his mother-in-law Louise Freeman; his siblings-in-law, Rickey Lee Elder and Barbara Davis; his father-in-law Chaunce Elder; and his cousin Eric Bentley.
He is survived by: his father Dwight Harrington; his wife Jessie Beth Elder Harrington; his aunts and uncles, Shelley Mullis, Debbie Harrington (Nicky), Kenny Harrington (Sylvia) and Barry Mullis (Sandy); his cousin Misty Elder (AJ); his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Elder and Pam Wiles; and his pet Monkey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (31 Pleasant Hill Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
