She was predeceased by: her mother Elsie Childers; her grandparents, Harvey and Amelia Childers (Grady Walter Kerley); her siblings, Wayne Childers, Darrell Childers, Daphene Bowman and Muriel Elder; her sons-in-law, Danny Hammer and Wayne Murphy; her grandson Eric May; and her great grandchild Autumn Kerley.
She is survived by: her children, Gary E. Kerley (Judy), Gil Dean Kerley of Mooresville, Guy A. Kerley (Paula), Gayla Murphy and Glenda K. Hammer; her grandchildren, Travis S. Kerley, Brooke Matlock, Treava Harrington, Tiffany Stines, Eric Brian Kerley, Amy Elizabeth Copland, Kendra Murphy Bowman, Terris Murphy, Melissa Smith Breden, Shena Hammer Moore, Stefany Hammer McIver, Amber Hughes and Denver Kerley; and her close friend Sid Hammer. She is also survived by twenty one great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter, a number of nieces, nephews that she treated like her own children.
